Provides RPM measurement for 2 to 10 cylinder automotive engines using the included inductive pick-up. Features an oversized, high-contrast 9999-count LCD display with backlight for easy reading. Offers 14 measurement functions, including DC/AC voltage, DC/AC current (up to 20A), resistance, RPM (tachometer), dwell angle, duty cycle, frequency, millisecond pulse width, temperature (°C/°F), capacitance, continuity and diode check. Reads pulse duty cycle and dwell angle for diagnosing electronic fuel injection systems, feedback carburettors and ignition systems. Fused current inputs and overload protection are provided on all ranges for added safety. Measures millisecond pulse width to test the on-time of fuel injectors, idle air control motors and electronic transmission controls. Data hold and relative functions let the user capture and compare readings. Auto power-off conserves battery life when the meter is idle.
